A additional function added was an area for an extra Tension band around the hook and a cylinder void created down the center. This area is designed so that the user may get a fixed grip on tools with handles such as hammers, socket wrenches, picks, knifes, axes, and etc. 
 

Lastly a cover was added. This piece adds to the form of the piece creating a hand like silhouette and protects the area above where the main tension band will be located. The thumb can even bare weight for firing rifles when spun upside down or cracking open a cold soda on a hot day at the shop.
